Xeomin in Los Angeles is the latest product developed to reduce or prevent frown-causing muscle contractions. Xeomin, pronounced zee-oh-min, acts similarly to its predecessors BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dysport. This neurotoxin product is used in many of the same areas as BOTOX® and is just as effective.

Xeomin is somewhat different. The difference in Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA) is that it does not carry the proteins that are typical of the other products in Los Angeles. The manufacturing process removes the proteins so that Xeomin is referred to as the “naked” botulinum product.
The potential advantage lies in the lessened likelihood of antibodies being formed to the proteins which – for a very limited number of patients – can render the product ineffective. (This typically is only seen in patients who have used botulinum toxin for an extended period.)
The muscle-restricting action is, for all practical purposes, like BOTOX® and Dysport and the dosing for Xeomin is the same as BOTOX®. We use Los Angeles Xeomin for:
The quicker effect is a factor for some people, but there is no guarantee you will be frown-free in 3 days. Dr. Fitzgerald will frequently use combinations of neurotoxins in a single session to achieve the desired result. As time goes on, which to choose will become the patient preference.
Xeomin, for some, begins taking effect within 2-3 days after injection, and it will generally remain effective for up to 4 months. BOTOX® Cosmetic is a little slower, and Dysport can sometimes begin acting the next day following injection.
Xeomin in Los Angeles is used in 14 worldwide locations and the EU under the name Bocouture. Find out how this injectable can help you by calling. Rebecca Fitzgerald, MD, and her team welcome patients throughout the Los Angeles area.
